D.EL.EDor Diploma in Elementary Education is a 2-year diploma course for primary teachers’ training. It will provide you with training for teaching in primary or upper primary schools. It is a 4-semester course that requires you to appear for CTET or state-level TET exams for admissions.
D.EL.EDfull form is a Diploma in Elementary Education and it is a diploma course for 2 years. Students who completed their 10+2 can pursue this course. This course will prepare you to teach students at the primary school level. This course includes subjects like Education and Society, Health and Physical Education, Psychological Perspectives of Education, Science Education, etc. D.EL.Ed courses include both theory and practical curriculums and also a mandatory internship.

D.EL.ED Admission is done in two ways, one is through the D.EL.ED entrance exam and the other is through the merit list. States like Bihar, Odisha, and Assam conduct their entrance exam. On the other hand states like West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh conduct their admission through merit lists.
